Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

കാഫ്കയും, വിർജീനിയയും. കാഫ്കയുടെ ബയോഗ്രഫി മൂന്നു പുസ്തകങ്ങളാണ് (Reiner Stach). വൂൾഫിന്റെ ഡയറി 6 പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ. തീരില്ലെന്നുറപ്പ്. എഴുപതിലധികം പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ ഈ വർഷം വായിച്ചെന്ന് കണക്ക്. ഗുഡ് റീഡ്‌സിൽ എണ്ണം മാർക്ക് ചെയ്യില്ലെന്ന് കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷമേ തീരുമാനിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഒരു ബാലചാപല്യം പോലെയാണ് അത് തോന്നുന്നത്. ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്ക് പോസ്റ്റിങ്ങ് നിറുത്തിയതും സഹായകമായി.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

ഇല്ല. കാരണം, എനിയ്ക്ക് പുതിയ പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ ഇനിയും വരാനുള്ളത് അറിയില്ല. ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ വാങ്ങിയ രണ്ടുവർഷങ്ങളാണ് കടന്നുപോകുന്നത്. എനിയ്ക്കാവശ്യമുള്ള പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ ആയിക്കഴിഞ്ഞെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു. ഇനി അമ്മാതിരി പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ വരണം. അപ്പോൾ നോക്കാം.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

പട്ടത്തുവിള, ടിആർ തുടങ്ങിയവരുടെ കഥകൾ. നടക്കില്ല എന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു.

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

ഇല്ല. The Pole – JM Coetzee – 5 stars, House of Doors – TTE – 5 stars, Translating Myself and Others – Jhumpa Lahiri – 5 stars, Maniac – Benjamin Labatut – 4.5 stars, Forbidden Notebook – Alba De Cespedes – 4.5 stars, ഇവയൊക്കെ പോരെ?

Have you already started making reading plans for next year?!

അടുത്തവർഷം എന്താകും എവിടെയാകും എന്നൊന്നും ഒരു ധാരണയുമില്ല എന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു പ്ലാനും ഇല്ല. വായന എന്റെ ജോലിയല്ല. കൂടാതെ എന്റെ പുതിയ നോവലിന്റെ വർക്ക് നടക്കുന്നുണ്ട് (BON2), അതാണിപ്പോൾ ശ്രദ്ധാകേന്ദ്രം.
