Off topic…a doubt … archipelago books , fsg , seagull , europa editions , nyrb classics , pushkin press തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രമുഖ പബ്ലിഷേർസിന്റെ books comparatively costly ആണല്ലോ ? …. what could be the reason?
I guess its a combination of cost of rights + import duty + production cost + a profit minded approach – not many ppl buy them in india so outlets like amazon wants to extort money from the few who’s interested.
OK … Archipelago books and seagull books made some selected titles available to download for free due to this pandemic.
Archipelago came into focus with Knausgaard’s book series. I like their books, I own quite a few of them 🙂
But one thing I can tell is this – most of the books from Archipelago, Charco, Pushkin are worth the extra money (not as much we pay in India, but a decent price)
